Every day, GSA delivers top-quality goods and services to federal agencies in support of their missions, and one of the most important responsibilities we have is to ensure that the Department of Veterans Affairs has access to the best tools to care for our nation’s veterans. That’s why we are so proud of a new contract offering designed specifically for returning veterans.
As our country welcomes our troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan, the Department of Veterans Affairs identified a need for a broader spectrum of mental health offerings than was available. Responding to this need, GSA, in partnership with the National Guard and the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Health and Human Services, recently expanded its Veterans Readjustment offering to include additional behavioral health and readjustment services. These contracts will help veterans access additional providers of vocational and psychosocial rehabilitation, educational therapy and recovery, homelessness counseling and wellness coaching, among other services. The offering will address the unique, critical needs of returning service members, providing them access to the most comprehensive, high quality health services available.
The health and well-being of the brave men and women who have served this nation is a top priority. GSA is proud to help our customer agency, the Department of Veteran Affairs, serve our veterans as well as they have served us.
