As technology develops, it fundamentally changes how we conduct business. The federal government stands ready to deliver the unique opportunity to improve the quality and delivery of services to the nation. That’s where Senior Assistant General Counsel Mike Ettner comes in.
Based in Washington, D.C., Ettner’s work in developing and expanding the reach of federal-compatible Terms of Service agreements with popular digital media technologies like Facebook, YouTube, SurveyMonkey, GitHub and other online tools recently earned him a nod from The Burton Foundation as a 2015 Public Service Award winner.
The Public Service Award is presented to an attorney who has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and integrity and has been employed in the executive branch of government at any time over the last 10 years, with a notable contribution to public-facing programs. The Public Service Award is being given this year to five federal government attorneys. It is one of several Burton Award categories, from which come a total of 91 recipients for 2015.
Ettner and other 2015 Burton Award winners were honored June 15 at a ceremony at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
