Polaris Contract Awards Support Governmentwide IT Transformation

GSA has reached a major milestone in advancing the Polaris Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). We issued the first round of awards and the notice to proceed in two additional Polaris small business pools. More awards in both pools are expected in Fiscal Year 2026. Through this approach, GSA can ensure strong program oversight, manage vendor onboarding effectively, and create room for additional opportunities.

An approach designed for flexibility and results

Polaris was built from the start with flexibility in mind. The contract includes key features that help it stay current and responsive, such as on-ramps, no contract ceiling, and technology refresh capabilities.

Polaris offers a streamlined path to small businesses that deliver leading-edge IT services. The contract supports a wide range of solutions, including:

  • Artificial intelligence and automation
  • Cloud and edge computing
  • Distributed ledger technologies
  • Immersive and emerging technologies

These offerings help agencies improve service delivery, modernize legacy systems, and keep pace with rapidly changing technology landscapes.

What’s ahead

Additional awards will be made in FY26, creating new opportunities for small businesses and giving agencies even more access to qualified partners.

Polaris is designed as a long-term solution that delivers innovation, value, and results. It will save taxpayer dollars through reduced administrative costs, faster awards, and competition at the task-order level.
